Common questions

Is this a government website?

No. Warmer Home Scheme is a payment plan offered by Fresh Solar, a private MCS-certified installation company. The Warm Homes Plan is a UK Government programme. You can read about it on GOV.UK.

How quickly will I get a decision?

Most applications are pre-approved instantly. If our lending partner needs a manual check, you will get a decision by email within 24 hours. Pre-approval is subject to a full credit check, affordability and a successful home survey.

Should I choose solar with a battery, solar only, or a battery on its own?

Solar panels generate your own electricity during the day. Adding a battery lets you use more of it in the evening. A battery on its own charges on a cheap overnight tariff and powers your home at peak times, or stores power from solar panels you already have.

How are the estimated savings worked out?

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. You can pay nothing upfront, or add a deposit of up to 50% of the cash price to lower your monthly payment.

Can I pay off my plan early?

Yes. You can settle early at any time and only pay interest up to the date you settle. confirm with lender
